Sasung Galaxy Trend

Samsung is entering into the low price smartphones competition with Micromax and Karbonn and it is playing dirty!
With the release of the new Samsung galaxy trend, it is clear that the Korean Giant wants to get its competitors to their knees. Samsung galaxy trend is the decent most phone currently reviewed and comes at a price so cheap that feels too good to be true!
Usually brand names affect the price tag but there is an exception with this one! With jaw dropping features priced just at INR 8450 Rs, here's a\the list of all the important specifications.
  • 4" WVGA Screen (Resolution unknown yet but expected to be 480X800)
  • 1.2 GHz Dual Core processor
  • 512 MB Ram
  • 4 GB internal memory.
  • External memory expandable upto 32 GB
  • 3G Enabled.
  • Dual Sim Option available.
  • Jellybean 4.1
  • 1500 MAh battery with uptime of 6 hr Talktime(Expected.)
The features are good but the availability isn't confirmed yet. Check out Flipkart, HomeShop18, MobileSulekha etc to get the exact details on that front as it gets updated daily

Stay tuned for more info on the best buys!!!

Flow Free

An android game that comes with a windows like user interface, Flow is a fun game!! Very addictive single player game and my current most favourite mode of time pass!!!
There obviously is a paid version too but you have to make an in app purchase for that i.e. for more levels.
The levels available in the free version are enough though in my opinion.
Still if you are interested in having more and more levels or maybe appreciating the developer for his/her hardwork then you might as well opt for the paid version.
The play Store link for Flow is here.

Dynamic Keyboard.

A unique concept implemented in this app makes it a must try!!

For people like myself with a little bulky thumb and who find it not so convenient to use the standard keyboard even on a 5" phone, this is a must have!!
Others should give it a shot too!!

What basically happens is that it overrides your standard keyboard and it enlarges those keys that you use most Making long conversations comparatively less stressful!
It learns your usage gradually .

You can go ahead and download from here, its decent but not very helpful.
You might feel like throwing your phone away!!!

Feel free to give your reviews if you've tried it.
Stay tuned, have fun!!!

A new member!!!

Hey guys, you all remember my post about the phones I use to test apps, I guess. Don't sweat if you don't. Have a read here.

So yeah, we got a new member for testing- The Micromax Canvas HD . I just got it yesterday and am really happy with the performance but it comes with a few cons in it too.But still it performs just about good and the only reason I got it was to check out the Jelly Bean 4.2.X series and also the quad core. Both impressed me pretty much!

A detailed description and review  will be here in sometime so stay tuned for that!
Have fun!!

Does the advice go for me?

A little something that I sort of forgot to mention earlier was what phones do I use to test the app and get the reviews to you. Well, its never too late so here comes the info on that...
I use three phones and three because they clearly are from different stages of development of android and if for a particular game i say it works on low end phones and terms like that then this post can actually help you compare your phone and know before downloading if the app or game will be supported by your phone or not!!
  1. The basic, Micromax Andro A60.
  2. The mediocre, Karbonn A15.
  3. The high end, Micromax Canvas Music.
So the above info will be enough to understand where your phone lies.
And just for the record, its not that I like phones from these two companies only but apparently I lost my SonyXperia Tipo and rooted and damaged my Galaxy Pop with a bad clock work, so yeah, that's the reason they arent't on the list.

So compare, download and have fun!!
Stay tuned!!!

KeyLimePie turns KitKat

News of Google launch of their new OS, KitKat spread like wildfire. Many on various discussions didn't quite like the idea of dropping KeyLimePie for KitKat but then again we don't run Google now, no matter how much we wish we did!

You can check out all the updates on this front from here. The servers however are down for now so the page loads in some language foreign to me, I am sure that it will be resolved soon. You can read a detailed description from here. The launch also comes up with an advertising campaign, I am not interested in telling you about which. You can find out from above links.

Now the only technical information available is that it will be v 4.4 and not 5.0 that everyone was expecting it to be. So what does that have in it for you? Following is a list of possibilities:
  • We should expect news for Launch of Android 5.0 soon enough for tablet or similar platforms. Just like it happened when 3.0 honeycomb was introduced after successive updates on the 2.something series.
  • With gadgets like Google Glasses and so on,  we can also expect 5.0 to be an  entirely new gadget.
So stay tuned to see what future Google has to offer. Adios for now!
